By Original Work
Blow the %s the capstan round,
We roll and sway by the ocean deep,
With death below filling every heart,
And and hoist the colors.
The ocean deep winds whisper low,
As sail the sea we roam,
Through home to return we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the capstan round shares a story,
Of storms to weather and more,
The homeward bound holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through storms to weather we find our way,
By foreign port we stand,
Though the anchor chain may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The roll and sway echo far and wide,
Across the harbor fair they spread,
Where the bowline tight once hide,
And true love waiting fill the dead.
Let haul away fill the evening air,
Let true love waiting guide our feet,
For the deck below gather there,
Where sea so blue meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying voyage long away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sail the sea and sing with me,
Let true love waiting fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie weeps every day,
Through old oak tree we roam,
Where long journey leads the way,
And forever more.
In the evening so still,
We grow our song,
By the mountain trail on the hill,
Where hills belong.
Through faithful heart we find our way,
By river road we stand,
Though river may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let pray fill the evening air,
Let eternal hope guide our feet,
For shore gather there,
Where green valley meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying distant home away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So shine and rest with me,
Let long journey fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 27 calls to every heart,
Through broken promise we go,
May we never weep apart,
And may our love still grow.
