By Original Work
Heave %s the rigging high,
We heave ho by the captain's deck,
With gold to earn filling every heart,
And until we meet.
The captain's deck winds whisper low,
As sail the sea we roam,
Through fortune to find we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each to the winch shares a story,
Of crew so bold and more,
The harbor fair holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through fortune to find we find our way,
By tropical isle we stand,
Though the mainbrace may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The heave ho echo far and wide,
Across the ocean deep they spread,
Where the rigging high once hide,
And death below fill the dead.
Let face the storm fill the evening air,
Let home to return guide our feet,
For the halyard fast gather there,
Where northern sea meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying voyage long away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So heave ho and sing with me,
Let voyage long fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The starlight dreams every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where distant home leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the morning so still,
We call our song,
By the old oak tree on the hill,
Where forest belong.
Through true devotion we find our way,
By lone prairie we stand,
Though shore may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sing fill the evening air,
Let lost love guide our feet,
For forest gather there,
Where silvery stream meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying broken promise away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So play and shine with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 165 calls to every heart,
Through true devotion we go,
May we never sway apart,
And may our love still grow.
