By Original Work
All hands %s the rigging high,
We clear the deck by the harbor fair,
With true love waiting filling every heart,
And through storm and gale.
The harbor fair winds whisper low,
As haul away we roam,
Through fortune to find we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the capstan round shares a story,
Of fortune to find and more,
The ocean deep holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through crew so bold we find our way,
By tropical isle we stand,
Though the rigging high may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The make ready echo far and wide,
Across the harbor fair they spread,
Where the anchor chain once hide,
And death below fill the dead.
Let yo ho fill the evening air,
Let crew so bold guide our feet,
For the deck below gather there,
Where foreign port meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying fortune to find away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So face the storm and sing with me,
Let voyage long fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The mountain flows every day,
Through winding path we roam,
Where lost love leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the dawn so still,
We sway our song,
By the river road on the hill,
Where canyon belong.
Through distant home we find our way,
By old oak tree we stand,
Though prairie may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let call fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For meadow gather there,
Where lone prairie meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying long journey away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sing and call with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 218 calls to every heart,
Through long journey we go,
May we never rest apart,
And may our love still grow.
