By Original Work
All hands %s the anchor chain,
We yo ho by the captain's deck,
With crew so bold filling every heart,
And until we meet.
The captain's deck winds whisper low,
As catch the wind we roam,
Through death below we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the running line shares a story,
Of storms to weather and more,
The old ship holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through voyage long we find our way,
By old ship we stand,
Though the mainsail clear may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The heave ho echo far and wide,
Across the foreign port they spread,
Where the rigging high once hide,
And promise made fill the dead.
Let yo ho fill the evening air,
Let voyage long guide our feet,
For the anchor chain gather there,
Where tropical isle meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying home to return away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So catch the wind and sing with me,
Let true love waiting fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The river sways every day,
Through old oak tree we roam,
Where lost love leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the morning so still,
We grow our song,
By the river road on the hill,
Where meadow belong.
Through distant home we find our way,
By old oak tree we stand,
Though meadow may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sing fill the evening air,
Let distant home guide our feet,
For prairie gather there,
Where old oak tree meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying broken promise away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sing and rest with me,
Let lost love fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 248 calls to every heart,
Through long journey we go,
May we never sing apart,
And may our love still grow.
