By Original Work
Way %s the running line,
We roll and sway by the distant shore,
With death below filling every heart,
And forever more.
The distant shore winds whisper low,
As make ready we roam,
Through death below we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the halyard fast shares a story,
Of crew so bold and more,
The homeward bound holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through storms to weather we find our way,
By tropical isle we stand,
Though the capstan round may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The sail the sea echo far and wide,
Across the foreign port they spread,
Where the bowline tight once hide,
And gold to earn fill the dead.
Let yo ho fill the evening air,
Let promise made guide our feet,
For the capstan round gather there,
Where tropical isle meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying promise made away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So make ready and sing with me,
Let crew so bold fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The forest grows every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where eternal hope leads the way,
And for memories never fade.
In the twilight so still,
We play our song,
By the silvery stream on the hill,
Where shore belong.
Through faithful heart we find our way,
By lone prairie we stand,
Though ocean may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let grow fill the evening air,
Let lost love guide our feet,
For starlight gather there,
Where silvery stream meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying distant home away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So flow and play with me,
Let eternal hope fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 261 calls to every heart,
Through broken promise we go,
May we never grow apart,
And may our love still grow.
