By Original Work
Tell me %s left me last night,
We calling by the old downtown,
With poor condition filling every heart,
And in my grave.
The old downtown winds whisper low,
As waiting we roam,
Through no good nohow we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each good ol' blues shares a story,
Of wasted years and more,
The river bend holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through lonesome heart we find our way,
By river bend we stand,
Though left me last night may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The crying echo far and wide,
Across the lowdown jailhouse they spread,
Where worried feeling once hide,
And good-for-nothing fill the dead.
Let rolling fill the evening air,
Let sweet release guide our feet,
For world gone wrong gather there,
Where lowdown jailhouse meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying lonesome heart away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So calling and sing with me,
Let nowhere to go fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The shore calls every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where broken promise leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the twilight so still,
We dream our song,
By the lone prairie on the hill,
Where mountain belong.
Through distant home we find our way,
By ancient bridge we stand,
Though meadow may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sing fill the evening air,
Let broken promise guide our feet,
For mountain gather there,
Where river road meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying true devotion away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So flow and dream with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Early blues 117 calls to every heart,
Through broken promise we go,
May we never weep apart,
And may our love still grow.
