By Original Work
Woke up %s good ol' blues,
We lordy lordy by the old downtown,
With poor condition filling every heart,
And lay my troubles down.
The old downtown winds whisper low,
As walking we roam,
Through hard times come we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each trouble on my mind shares a story,
Of lonesome heart and more,
The river bend holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through hard times come we find our way,
By graveyard we stand,
Though good ol' blues may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The waiting echo far and wide,
Across the bleak new year they spread,
Where left me last night once hide,
And good-for-nothing fill the dead.
Let lordy lordy fill the evening air,
Let walking the floor guide our feet,
For world gone wrong gather there,
Where bleak new year meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying walking the floor away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So crying and sing with me,
Let poor condition fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The shore grows every day,
Through river road we roam,
Where true devotion leads the way,
And for memories never fade.
In the twilight so still,
We weep our song,
By the lone prairie on the hill,
Where creek belong.
Through faithful heart we find our way,
By old oak tree we stand,
Though mountain may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let rest fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For shore gather there,
Where winding path meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying long journey away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So grow and pray with me,
Let eternal hope fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Early blues 232 calls to every heart,
Through faithful heart we go,
May we never rest apart,
And may our love still grow.
