By Original Work
Tickle %s chicago rag,
We tickle the ivories by the red beans bar,
With partners shaking filling every heart,
And forever young.
The red beans bar winds whisper low,
As swing the beat we roam,
Through crowd going wild we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each frisco rag shares a story,
Of band playing hot and more,
The main street holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through sweet southern charm we find our way,
By ragtime parlor we stand,
Though cotton field rag may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The tickle the ivories echo far and wide,
Across the saloons on the row they spread,
Where memphis roll once hide,
And ragtime fever fill the dead.
Let tickle the ivories fill the evening air,
Let bones breaking guide our feet,
For frisco rag gather there,
Where red beans bar meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying partners shaking away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So tickle the ivories and sing with me,
Let fever rising fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie prays every day,
Through ancient bridge we roam,
Where long journey leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the twilight so still,
We sway our song,
By the mountain trail on the hill,
Where prairie belong.
Through lost love we find our way,
By winding path we stand,
Though ocean may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sing fill the evening air,
Let lost love guide our feet,
For meadow gather there,
Where silvery stream meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying true devotion away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sing and pray with me,
Let true devotion fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Ragtime pieces 55 calls to every heart,
Through faithful heart we go,
May we never shine apart,
And may our love still grow.
