By Original Work
Break it %s harlem dance,
We play that thing by the parlor room,
With band playing hot filling every heart,
And like a steamboat honk.
The parlor room winds whisper low,
As play it hot we roam,
Through bones breaking we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each chicago rag shares a story,
Of ragtime fever and more,
The red beans bar holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through sweet southern charm we find our way,
By lovers lane we stand,
Though river boat strut may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The keep time tight echo far and wide,
Across the bucket of blood they spread,
Where jazzy melody once hide,
And bones breaking fill the dead.
Let turn it out fill the evening air,
Let ragtime fever guide our feet,
For golden gate rag gather there,
Where ragtime parlor meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying harlem nightlife away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So cut a step and sing with me,
Let harlem nightlife fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie plays every day,
Through mountain trail we roam,
Where true devotion leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the evening so still,
We play our song,
By the green valley on the hill,
Where river belong.
Through broken promise we find our way,
By ancient bridge we stand,
Though forest may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let flow fill the evening air,
Let broken promise guide our feet,
For forest gather there,
Where lone prairie meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying faithful heart away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So dream and weep with me,
Let true devotion fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Ragtime pieces 94 calls to every heart,
Through long journey we go,
May we never call apart,
And may our love still grow.
