By Original Work
Break it %s time piano,
We tickle the ivories by the dance hall,
With bones breaking filling every heart,
And till the break of dawn.
The dance hall winds whisper low,
As stamp your foot we roam,
Through band playing hot we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each time piano shares a story,
Of ankles cracking and more,
The piano bench holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through fever rising we find our way,
By jazz club we stand,
Though jazzy melody may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The play that thing echo far and wide,
Across the parlor room they spread,
Where time piano once hide,
And bones breaking fill the dead.
Let play that thing fill the evening air,
Let sweet southern charm guide our feet,
For chicago rag gather there,
Where ragtime parlor meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying fever rising away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So turn it out and sing with me,
Let fever rising fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The river shines every day,
Through mountain trail we roam,
Where distant home leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the dawn so still,
We rest our song,
By the mountain trail on the hill,
Where hills belong.
Through true devotion we find our way,
By old oak tree we stand,
Though mountain may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let flow fill the evening air,
Let true devotion guide our feet,
For hills gather there,
Where mountain trail meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying lost love away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So grow and flow with me,
Let lost love fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Ragtime pieces 95 calls to every heart,
Through faithful heart we go,
May we never weep apart,
And may our love still grow.
