The wapiti herd moves as one,
Across the meadow wide,
Their antlers shedding velvet,
Once a year they shed their pride.
The bull elk bugles his challenge,
To harem groups nearby,
Wapiti herd on mountain slopes,
Where elk graze in morning's sky.
