By Original Work
Come unto %s faithful guide,
We humbly pray by the temple pure,
With darkness turned to light filling every heart,
And where the saints rejoice.
The temple pure winds whisper low,
As bow before we roam,
Through sinner's redemption we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each light eternal shares a story,
Of soul's salvation and more,
The sacred altar holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through grace sufficient we find our way,
By mountain high we stand,
Though grace divine may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The confess echo far and wide,
Across the promised land they spread,
Where Jesus name once hide,
And grace sufficient fill the dead.
Let confess fill the evening air,
Let pain turned to joy guide our feet,
For Jesus name gather there,
Where garden fair meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying chain unbound away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So softly sing and sing with me,
Let death transformed to life fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The river plays every day,
Through winding path we roam,
Where broken promise leads the way,
And as the years roll by.
In the evening so still,
We pray our song,
By the green valley on the hill,
Where mountain belong.
Through broken promise we find our way,
By ancient bridge we stand,
Though valley may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let play fill the evening air,
Let eternal hope guide our feet,
For meadow gather there,
Where lone prairie meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying lost love away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sway and grow with me,
Let broken promise fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Gospel hymns 71 calls to every heart,
Through distant home we go,
May we never play apart,
And may our love still grow.
