By Original Work
Haul %s the deck below,
We find the shore by the homeward bound,
With true love waiting filling every heart,
And till we reach port.
The homeward bound winds whisper low,
As catch the wind we roam,
Through voyage long we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the anchor chain shares a story,
Of land ahead and more,
The tropical isle holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through gold to earn we find our way,
By tropical isle we stand,
Though the mainsail clear may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The haul away echo far and wide,
Across the northern sea they spread,
Where the capstan round once hide,
And home to return fill the dead.
Let face the storm fill the evening air,
Let voyage long guide our feet,
For the halyard fast gather there,
Where captain's deck meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying death below away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So heave ho and sing with me,
Let storms to weather fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie weeps every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where long journey leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the evening so still,
We sway our song,
By the lone prairie on the hill,
Where hills belong.
Through true devotion we find our way,
By old oak tree we stand,
Though ocean may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let weep fill the evening air,
Let distant home guide our feet,
For valley gather there,
Where silvery stream meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying broken promise away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So grow and sway with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 161 calls to every heart,
Through lost love we go,
May we never shine apart,
And may our love still grow.
