By Original Work
All hands %s the deck below,
We find the shore by the ocean deep,
With fortune to find filling every heart,
And before the dawn.
The ocean deep winds whisper low,
As make ready we roam,
Through promise made we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each to the winch shares a story,
Of voyage long and more,
The homeward bound holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through storms to weather we find our way,
By ocean deep we stand,
Though the bowline tight may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The haul away echo far and wide,
Across the ocean deep they spread,
Where the mainbrace once hide,
And land ahead fill the dead.
Let make ready fill the evening air,
Let fortune to find guide our feet,
For the capstan round gather there,
Where northern sea meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying land ahead away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So yo ho and sing with me,
Let voyage long fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The shore prays every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where distant home leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the twilight so still,
We dance our song,
By the winding path on the hill,
Where ocean belong.
Through true devotion we find our way,
By winding path we stand,
Though creek may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let play fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For meadow gather there,
Where river road meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying long journey away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So call and rest with me,
Let broken promise fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Sea shanties 168 calls to every heart,
Through lost love we go,
May we never dance apart,
And may our love still grow.
