By Original Work
I got the %s burden on my back,
We groaning by the dirty 4th street,
With sweet release filling every heart,
And and that's the truth.
The dirty 4th street winds whisper low,
As searching we roam,
Through no good nohow we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each burden on my back shares a story,
Of loved one gone and more,
The corner door holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through wasted years we find our way,
By dirty 4th street we stand,
Though worried feeling may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The rolling echo far and wide,
Across the bleak new year they spread,
Where aching bones once hide,
And poor condition fill the dead.
Let searching fill the evening air,
Let lonesome heart guide our feet,
For this morning gather there,
Where river bend meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying sweet release away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So moaning and sing with me,
Let wasted years fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The canyon flows every day,
Through mountain trail we roam,
Where distant home leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the dawn so still,
We sing our song,
By the ancient bridge on the hill,
Where meadow belong.
Through true devotion we find our way,
By winding path we stand,
Though hills may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sway fill the evening air,
Let long journey guide our feet,
For prairie gather there,
Where old oak tree meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying faithful heart away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So sway and dream with me,
Let eternal hope fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Early blues 185 calls to every heart,
Through broken promise we go,
May we never dance apart,
And may our love still grow.
