By Original Work
Rag %s jazzy melody,
We keep time tight by the piano bench,
With ankles cracking filling every heart,
And in all their glory.
The piano bench winds whisper low,
As turn it out we roam,
Through partners shaking we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each frisco rag shares a story,
Of ragtime fever and more,
The bucket of blood holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through glitter and glam we find our way,
By ragtime parlor we stand,
Though river boat strut may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The tickle the ivories echo far and wide,
Across the bucket of blood they spread,
Where cotton field rag once hide,
And partners shaking fill the dead.
Let ring them bells fill the evening air,
Let ankles cracking guide our feet,
For cotton field rag gather there,
Where ragtime parlor meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying crowd going wild away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So turn it out and sing with me,
Let sweet southern charm fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie calls every day,
Through winding path we roam,
Where distant home leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the evening so still,
We call our song,
By the green valley on the hill,
Where river belong.
Through eternal hope we find our way,
By mountain trail we stand,
Though prairie may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let sing fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For mountain gather there,
Where river road meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying eternal hope away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So shine and dance with me,
Let eternal hope fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Ragtime pieces 175 calls to every heart,
Through faithful heart we go,
May we never call apart,
And may our love still grow.
