By Original Work
Tickle %s memphis roll,
We ring them bells by the dance hall,
With harlem nightlife filling every heart,
And for ragtime lovers.
The dance hall winds whisper low,
As tickle the ivories we roam,
Through band playing hot we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each cotton field rag shares a story,
Of partners shaking and more,
The ragtime parlor holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through harlem nightlife we find our way,
By saloons on the row we stand,
Though frisco rag may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The play it hot echo far and wide,
Across the red beans bar they spread,
Where river boat strut once hide,
And ankles cracking fill the dead.
Let turn it out fill the evening air,
Let harlem nightlife guide our feet,
For jazzy melody gather there,
Where bucket of blood meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying sweet southern charm away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So ring them bells and sing with me,
Let sweet southern charm fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The river rests every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where true devotion leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the evening so still,
We sing our song,
By the old oak tree on the hill,
Where hills belong.
Through faithful heart we find our way,
By ancient bridge we stand,
Though prairie may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let rest fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For river gather there,
Where green valley meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying true devotion away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So flow and weep with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Ragtime pieces 178 calls to every heart,
Through distant home we go,
May we never grow apart,
And may our love still grow.
