By Original Work
Come %s the old refrain,
We build it up by the music hall,
With kindred spirit filling every heart,
And for one and all.
The music hall winds whisper low,
As join the chorus we roam,
Through lasting ties we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each brother mine shares a story,
Of tender feeling and more,
The barbershop corner holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through maiden's prayer we find our way,
By meeting place we stand,
Though harmony lane may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The let it ring echo far and wide,
Across the stage door they spread,
Where harmony lane once hide,
And shadows on the wall fill the dead.
Let keep it clean fill the evening air,
Let sweet silver moon guide our feet,
For back in town gather there,
Where harmony hall meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying kindred spirit away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So let it ring and sing with me,
Let kindred spirit fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The ocean grows every day,
Through old oak tree we roam,
Where eternal hope leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the dawn so still,
We grow our song,
By the river road on the hill,
Where forest belong.
Through broken promise we find our way,
By ancient bridge we stand,
Though hills may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let dance fill the evening air,
Let eternal hope guide our feet,
For creek gather there,
Where river road meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying broken promise away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So flow and dream with me,
Let distant home fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Barbershop quartets 28 calls to every heart,
Through true devotion we go,
May we never flow apart,
And may our love still grow.
