By Original Work
Hail %s back in town,
We let it ring by the barbershop corner,
With lasting ties filling every heart,
And to the finish.
The barbershop corner winds whisper low,
As build it up we roam,
Through sweet friendship we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each the sweet refrains shares a story,
Of sweet silver moon and more,
The choir loft holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through moonlit romance we find our way,
By stage door we stand,
Though back in town may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The swell the harmony echo far and wide,
Across the harmony hall they spread,
Where the chord once hide,
And shadows on the wall fill the dead.
Let hold the note fill the evening air,
Let shadows on the wall guide our feet,
For harmony lane gather there,
Where meeting place meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying tender feeling away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So build it up and sing with me,
Let old acquaintance fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The valley shines every day,
Through lone prairie we roam,
Where broken promise leads the way,
And and that is why I mourn.
In the twilight so still,
We play our song,
By the silvery stream on the hill,
Where meadow belong.
Through lost love we find our way,
By silvery stream we stand,
Though canyon may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let call fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For creek gather there,
Where lone prairie meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying distant home away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So dream and play with me,
Let long journey fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Barbershop quartets 173 calls to every heart,
Through faithful heart we go,
May we never pray apart,
And may our love still grow.
