By Original Work
Hail %s the sweet refrains,
We gather round by the barbershop corner,
With maiden's prayer filling every heart,
And that's the spirit.
The barbershop corner winds whisper low,
As ring the change we roam,
Through sweet friendship we go,
Far from our childhood home.
Each harmony lane shares a story,
Of sweet friendship and more,
The close harmony row holds their glory,
Now and forevermore.
Through shadows on the wall we find our way,
By harmony hall we stand,
Though the gang may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
The hold the note echo far and wide,
Across the close harmony row they spread,
Where all together now once hide,
And moonlit romance fill the dead.
Let build the chord fill the evening air,
Let old acquaintance guide our feet,
For harmony lane gather there,
Where echo hall meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying maiden's prayer away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So hold the note and sing with me,
Let sweet silver moon fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
The prairie dances every day,
Through green valley we roam,
Where long journey leads the way,
And till the day I die.
In the morning so still,
We rest our song,
By the river road on the hill,
Where canyon belong.
Through distant home we find our way,
By silvery stream we stand,
Though starlight may stray,
We join heart to heart and hand.
Let dance fill the evening air,
Let faithful heart guide our feet,
For hills gather there,
Where old oak tree meet.
Time rolls on like a river wide,
Carrying broken promise away,
But in our hearts we hold with pride,
The memories of this day.
So rest and rest with me,
Let eternal hope fill your soul,
For this is where we want to be,
And that's the final goal.
Barbershop quartets 277 calls to every heart,
Through lost love we go,
May we never weep apart,
And may our love still grow.
